December 5, 2008 - Orlando, Fla. – In lieu client gifts this holiday season, RL Haines General Contractor decided to give a gift that would reach farther in the community – $10,000 worth of toys for Central Florida Toys for Tots.
“We decided to forego the traditional basket of chocolates for our clients this year,” said Richard Haines, president of R.L. Haines Construction, LLC. “We firmly believe that no child should have to wake up on Christmas morning and not have a gift to unwrap.”
Employees and their families from both companies gathered at Toys “R” Us in Sanford late Thursday evening to purchase the toys, each receiving a ‘budget’ for their shopping cart. The group worked off a one-hour time frame, filling 30 carts with toys ranging from board games and footballs to toy tool boxes and bicycles, all of which will be distributed by Toys for Tots to children in Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.
“This was not as easy year for us as we’re in the construction industry, but we are working and staying busy, which is truly something to be thankful for. As a business, it’s our obligation to give back to the community – even when times are tough.”
August 26, 2008- Orlando, Fla. – RL Haines General Contractor, a full-service general contracting and construction management company, was recently awarded the contract to build the Hand & Stone Massage Spa located in The Loop West at 2661 W. Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. RL Haines is providing general contracting services for the 2,080 square-foot interior build-out. CMA of Minnesota is providing the architecture, planning and interior design services. Construction will be complete by September 2008.
May 19, 2008 - Orlando, Fla. – RL Haines General Contractor, a full-service general contracting and construction management company, recently promoted Landy Bolli to general manager of the company’s construction management and new construction division. Bolli was promoted from senior project manager to his new role overseeing the overall division management, including operations, quality control, estimating and client relations. Bolli brings more than 10 years of experience to the team. He has been with the company since 2004 and holds his state certification license as a commercial pool/spa contractor.
March 11, 2008 - Orlando, Fla. – RL Haines General Contractor, a full-service general contracting and construction management company, was recently awarded a $3.3 million contract to build the Westside Plaza Shopping Center, located at 6210 West Colonial Drive.
RL Haines is providing general contracting and construction management services for the new construction of two buildings totaling 47,500 square feet. Interplan, LLC of Orlando designed the building.
Construction began in mid-January and will be complete by September 2008.
February 14, 2008 - Jacksonville, Fla. – RL Haines General Contractor, a full-service general contracting and construction management company, recently promoted Joel Martin to Superintendent. Martin brings more than five years of construction experience to the team.
January 15, 2008 - Orlando, Fla. – RL Haines General Contractor, a full-service general contracting and construction management company, along with Long Farms North Limited Partnership and Smith Equities, recently completed the 20-unit renovation of La Bella Vida Apartments, located at 3310 Clay Avenue in Orlando, Florida.
In concert with Raymond Bennett Architects, the 12-month project included interior renovations and upgrades for the one-and-two bedroom units, including luxury amenities such as Milano Italian Birch cabinets, granite counter tops and designer finishes.
